2017 Rally for Prevention and Recovery

It is with great pride and anticipation that Street Smart Youth Project Inc. presents our 2017 Rally for Prevention and Recovery. We hope that you can join in the movement toward health promotion and wellness in English Avenue and be in attendance at the event! The month of September serves as National Recovery Month, and organizations all across the country are joining forces to host events celebrating the living testimonies of persons in recovery. On Saturday, September 30th from 2pm- 5pm,on the corner of James P. Brawley and Cameron Alexander. Atlanta- based grass- roots community organization, Street Smart Youth Project, will be hosting a celebration to recognize those in recovery while promoting the importance of alcohol and substance abuse prevention. Funded by the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities; our goal is to not only provide community support for those in recovery. It is also to provide healthy alternatives for youth in an effort to promote prevention. It is important for us to face these issues head on, setting an example for grass-roots change in our communities. We will have partners at the event specifically in the health (prevention/treatment/wellness), housing, and vocational arenas. We look forward to your support in anyway that you can.
